Title:

Vulnerability Detection, Management and Response on Medical Devices

Abstract:

Medical Devices introduce their own unique challenges, as we approach them from the cybersecurity standpoint. The constraint of keeping devices always available and functional is paramount, coupled with idea of always keeping predefined and approved state on devices comes in conflict with the necessity to monitor, detect and respond to ever-changing variety of cybersecurity threats. This presentation covers the approach that medical devices manufacturing industry takes today to resolve this conflict, i.e., how to get around problem of static, disconnected systems, which need to protected in a dynamic, connected environment using dynamic means, while constantly changing and updating.
